Taefu Lemi Taefu is an Accountant and a graduate of La Trobe University Melbourne Australia. He is currently serving his second term in Parliament; first term as Associate Minister for Justice and currently as Associate Minister for Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE). His career in Finance spanned over decades having worked in the public and private sectors in Samoa and in the region. Before he ventured into politics, Taefu was the Campus Manager for the University of the South Pacific (USP) Samoa Campus. Taefu is a graduate of Malua Bible School and led a group of 18 Parliamentarians undertaking a 2 year, UNDP funded Law program at USP which graduated in June 2018. He is a member of PGA (Parliamentarians for Global Action) and GOPAC (Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption) and is the Chair of the local branches of the respective organizations. Taefu is currently a member of the Audit Committee for GOPAC. He serves on a numbers of Boards for Private Entities and NGOs.
